Finding Hope For a New Life Through Addiction Treatment

October 20th, 2008 by tom57

Addiction is an ugly thing, and whether it’s you or a loved one, when it rips into your life, you fear you will never be the same again. Add to that fear the current trend of calling addiction an incurable disease, of telling addicts they will never be whole again, and it’s easy to see why the standard 28 day, drug assisted Drug and alcohol rehab programs have such low success rates.

Facing addiction and admitting it’s time for help is hard enough, but faced with this kind of hopeless outlook, and perhaps even a failed Addiction treatment experience or two contribute to why so many simply choose to avoid the traditional Treatment centers in the first place. Rehab centers in Sacramento are a dime a dozen, but their success rates are depressingly low, effectively creating a revolving door of addiction, recovery and relapse back into addiction. Is there a Drug Detox in California that really works?

What if I were to say there are Rehab centers in California that do not use drugs to treat addiction, but instead use natural, holistic methods to rid the body of the toxins of addiction and chemical dependency? What if I said this same Drug Detox in California boasts over 40 years of program history with an astonishing success rate of over 75%? You’d want to know more, of course.

Instead of treating one chemical dependency by substituting another, like methadone, this Addiction treatment in San Francisco starts out with a supervised natural detoxification process using nutrition and vitamins, exercise and sauna to completely clear all traces of physical dependence on chemical substances, basically reestablishing a healthy, normal body chemistry.

But that’s just the start of the differences. Instead being taught that they are helpless in the face of some incurable disease, participants go through a series of classes designed to help them learn, face and admit the causes of their addiction, and then build life skills to help them face life successfully, without turning to drugs or alcohol.

The typical Drug and alcohol rehab program that most are familiar with is a 28 day process where somehow, the recovering addict is supposed to magically be OK at the end of a month. That’s not the case here. Participants usually take between three and six months to complete the program, but the honest belief is that full recovery takes as long as it takes.

The goal is for the participant to leave the program healthy, happy, whole and ready to live life again. Instead of a hopeless and helpless outlook on the future, forever thinking of themselves as an addict, or a recovering addict, participants learn to address their past drug use, and overcome it. They are not addicts, or even recovering addicts, but fully recovered addicts with no desire to go backwards into drug use. They have genuine hope and true freedom.

Addiction is not an incurable disease. There is a way out of the revolving door. Ideal Treatment centers can boast of a high success rate, a long history of program effectiveness, don’t replace one drug with another and offer the recovering addict hope for a new life free of the pull of addiction. You’ll find that kind of treatment in only one place, Narconon.
